What does Kreative Kitchen's free estimate include? Our free estimate includes one in-home consultation, one design meeting, and one quote meeting.
What should I expect at my design meeting? Our designer, Tracy, will take your wants, needs, and measurements and create a design for you. You will be able to view your new kitchen in 3D form, on the TV screen. At this point you can say what you like, what you dislike, and we can move things around. Once we have the layout of the kitchen nailed down, we will start picking out materials and finsishes! This is the fun part! To prepare for the design meeting, it would be helpful if you can send any inspiration pictures you find on the internet and come with a budget in mind. This will help us guide you to choose materials and finishes within your budget. Our design meetings typically take 1 to 2 hours.
How long will it take to receive a quote? It will take about 4-6 weeks. From the consultation to the design meeting to the quote meeting, there are about 2-3 weeks between each meeting. We use this process to give you an accurate ballpark quote on a kitchen designed specifically for you and with the materials you chose.
Will my quote be itemized? Our free estimate includes one quote with an accurate ballpark figure. We will give you one price for the total project. We DO NOT provide an itemized quote. As a small business, our time is very valuable to us. By the end of the quote meeting we will have met 3 times and have usually clocked around 12 hours of work, to get you the quote price. This is all work that is done under our "free estimate". We understand it may be helpful to have an itemized list, but there are a lot of other factors that go into quoting a kitchen then just materials and labor.
How much will my kitchen remodel cost? This question is one we get asked the most! The answer boils down to three things—size, scope and materials & finishes. In the Lehigh Valley, the average kitchen remodel typically starts around $26K. A mid-range remodel typically is $35K+. A high-end kitchen typically is $64k+. The scope of work also plays a significant factor in your final cost. Rip and Replace is updating the materials and finishes, and the layout is generally staying the same. A Gut Renovation is the design is drastically changing, plumbing and/or electrical is moving, and walls are removed or installed. Gut renovations cost more just based on the scope of work.
What is the importance of giving a budget? If you’re planning to remodel your kitchen, your budget will dictate how extensive the remodel will be and can be. It is important to give us your budget because it will make sure we are starting off the design process with appropriate expectations.
What is the suggested spend average (based on home value)? When budgeting for a kitchen, a good rule of thumb is to set aside 16% of your homes value for a kitchen renovation.
Will I need to hire any subcontractors for my kitchen remodel? No, Kreative Kitchens will complete your job from start to finish! If you plan to redo the flooring in more than just the kitchen, we recommend a hiring a flooring professional.
Is there anything Kreative Kitchens does not provide? We do not provide appliances, faucets, decorative light fixtures, painting of walls, painting of cabinets, or building permits. We will install the faucet and the decorative lights; we ask you to provide them.
What type of countertops are other people choosing for their kitchens? Quartz has been the front-runner for quite a few years now. Quartz is a manufactured stone, whereas granite is a natural stone. Quartz does not need regular maintenance like granite does.
Why should I consider working with Kreative Kitchens? Kreative Kitchens is a small, local company based in Catasauqua, PA. You will work directly with the owner and installer, Dave, the designer, Tracy; the project coordinator, Erica, and installer, Sam before, during, and after your remodel. We complete your project within our team; you will always know who will be in your home, and your home will not become a revolving door of subcontractors. On average, we work on two projects per month. This schedule guarantees that we can give each remodel our undivided attention. Another reason to choose Kreative Kitchens is that we typically can do the same remodel as our competitors, but for a lower price because we are a smaller company with less overhead.
What is a kitchen reface? A kitchen reface is when we replace all your doors and drawer fronts with brand-new doors and cover your existing cabinet boxes with a matching laminate. A laminate door is a more economical option if you are trying to keep costs low with a reface, as a opposed to a wood door. We can also replace drawer boxes if needed and replace the door hinges to make them soft closing. While refacing is a cheaper alternative to a kitchen upgrade, the money you save, may not justify the end result. Appoximately 70% of a cabinet price comes from the cabinet door. In some cases it may be just as worth it to spend an addtional 30% for brand new cabinets.
Can I just get countertops and tile backsplash??? Yes!
Does Kreative Kitchens offer financing? No, we do not.
How long does a kitchen remodel take?? Typically, our full kitchen remodels takes about 4-6 weeks to complete, from start to finish.
Will remodeling my kitchen add value to my home? Based on a 2022 national cost vs. value report, homeowners who remodel their kitchen can expect to recoup anywhere from 45% - 64% of the cost of their remodel. Even if the homeowner does not plan to move anytime in the near future, this will add value and enrichement to their everyday life.
