A refacing consultation gives us the opportunity to take a closer look at your existing cabinetry, learn what you’d like to change, and determine whether refacing is the right fit for your kitchen. Here’s what you can expect during our visit.
During Your Consultation
What to Expect
Your refacing consultation will typically take 30 minutes to an hour. We’ll hear your thoughts and ideas, talk through what you’d like to change, and take a closer look at your existing cabinetry.
We’ll also take detailed measurements of every cabinet door and drawer opening. These measurements allow us to accurately price the doors, drawer fronts, materials, and labor needed to prepare your refacing quote.
Who to Expect
Typically, two members of our team will attend your in-home consultation. This allows us to look at your space from both a design and project perspective, ask questions, take notes, and better understand what you hope to accomplish.

We'll Look at Your Existing Cabinetry
We’ll take a closer look at your existing cabinetry to evaluate its condition, construction, and overall functionality.We’ll look for signs of wear or damage and consider whether the cabinet boxes are a good candidate for refacing and worth investing in for the years ahead.
We'll Talk About What You Want to Change
We’ll talk about what you’d like to change and what you hope to achieve with your kitchen refresh. We’ll discuss door style, color and finish, hardware, and any optional updates you may be considering, such as new drawer boxes, countertops, backsplash, sink, or faucet.
We'll Discuss the Rest of the Kitchen
We’ll also look beyond the cabinetry and discuss what you plan to keep and what you may want to update throughout the rest of the kitchen. This may include countertops, backsplash, flooring, sink, faucet, lighting, or other finishes. Understanding the overall scope helps us prepare a quote that reflects the complete project you have in mind.
We'll Talk About Refacing vs. Replacement
We’ll have an open conversation about refacing versus cabinet replacement and which option makes the most sense for your kitchen. We’ll consider the condition and remaining life of your existing cabinetry, your goals, and the overall investment so you can feel confident you’re putting your money in the right place.
